Spree Dash is the event that lets you show Spree through the eyes of a photographer. This is a competition you don’t want to miss whether you’re a professional or just love taking pictures for fun. There are numerous prizes to be won for the team that does the best job of displaying the year’s most awaited event. So grab a camera and start snapping away! After all, a picture speaks a thousand words!

THE ONE

THE ONE is an adventure based event, inspired from the popular television show named “roadies”! Consisting of a number of challenges ranging from weird sports to breathtaking stunts; from risky water acts to eating ghastly cooked food, it promises to blow your mind away with its mishmash of various adrenaline pumped adventures .It exposes the true colours out of people disguised under all the sweetness and glamour. THE ONE brings out the innate talents of contestants like their confidence, dominance and their intellect in getting the tasks completed. It is sure to get your adrenaline rising with its creative yet challenging and mind-boggling events. All said and done, the main outcome of this event is unlimited fun, entertainment and crazy-ass enjoyment.

No longer will you have to hide behind those good looking lip-syncers or be kept in the shadows of some ultra high tech band!This is your chance to prove that one on one, no one can jam better than you can.
So come to Springspree's CAPRICCIO and show everyone that in the end an amazingly played guitar is much better that some trashy high pitched lyrics any day of the year.

STREET X

Here is a chance to breathe magic with the world at your feet. Perplexed??? We are talking about STEET X!!! This time, brace yourself as the stunts get bigger and the risks get amplified as its going to be Stunts-a-plenty at Spree’11. If the street is all you need to showcase your freestyle BMX talent or if u can captivate an audience with your ingenious football tricks. We aim to provide a serious platform for serious competitors to display their flair. FLATLAND BMX is a contest that will mark the comeback of BMX bike stunts, as an alternative sport, that is here to stay. FUTSAL AHORA is the core event of Street Mania, a 4 a side (with a rolling sub) futsal tournament. Hit the streets and experience all the style and attitude of street football.  With prizes worth 20k to be won, this will be once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase your skills. Do you have what it takes to win the praise of the crowd. Then awaken your soul to the rhythm divine, for the beautiful game!!!

FACE PAINTING

It’s time to go beyond facial expressions and let your face tell a story of color.

A dash of blue, a bolt of green, a splash of red, a sprinkle  of yellow,  a smidge of purple, a stripe of orange.

Alas!  A monster or a masterpiece?  

Unleash your inner Picasso with the eyes, nose and mouth already on the portrait.

Come in pairs, you and your victim and make sure you don’t miss this colorfully explosive event where you have a chance to give your creativity a face, or rather, give a face your creativity!

ALLURE

At this year’s spree, we shake off the winter’s blues by delivering the freshest season in style. By blurring boundaries between fashion and costume design, we bring you ALLURE, NIT Warangal’s very own fashion competition. Feast your eyes on the models as they spellbindingly present to you the unmatched and unconventional designs they bare. Home team organizers Priya , Moyo and Anish are poised to bring the entirety of the fashion world to this year’s Spree. They all strut with the right attitude and some day they just might be India’s next top models. The ramp is set and the spotlights are on, it’s time to ALLURE you to the fashion world.

IRA - arm yourself

Feeling heavy in the head? Bewildered, completely blank, and clueless about your life? If these are your problems, then SpringSpree’11 has a simple solution. Ready for it?

IRA, the ultimate battle of rock bands will assuredly keep your adrenaline pumping and your head banging. Be it Guns and Roses, Metallica or Coldplay, you’ll find it all at NITW from the 11^th of March to the 13^th. You guys who love your guitar more than your girlfriend; girls who value the microphone more than their make-up kits… this monster of an event is for you.

PRONITES

Melody is his middle name and he’s rubbed shoulders with the best in all of the Indian Music industry. He’s the lead vocalist for the band Dhvani and he’s never looked back from his chartbusting debut in Rang de Basanti. He’s lent his voice to over 50 songs in the last 5 years, and that’s in Tamil alone. In Telugu he’s sung the most melodious Nenu Nuvvantu (Orange), Avunana Kadana (Leader), Preminche Premavaa (Nuvvu Nenu Prema); and who can forget the hit from Munna, Manasa? The list goes on but why are we talking about this Mumbai lad?

Fusion is the trend in music today. Bringing together the Western and the Eastern style of music. Merging them to contrive a new style in music, He plays the Indian musical style which appears to be Western. Having performed with all the Legends of the Indian Music Scene like A R Rahman, Zakir Hussain, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sivamani etc he has definitely established himself in the Indian music industry. Asia’s highest scorer in solo piano exams from Trinity School of Music, London. He also holds the record of completing the course in three years’ time.

This band of brothers is considered one of the pioneering forces behind what is dubbed as the '21st Century Pop Revolution of Pakistan'. Their debut album created whirlwinds in Urdu communities all over the world. A first of its kind, they merged pop/rock with Pakistani mainstream music. Over a span of 6 years the band has put out two albums, they have performed over 400 concerts, self-produced 10 music videos and won 3 major music awards. Raw, energetic and full of life is what they are. This sensational duo is now coming to our very own spree to electrify the most passive onlooker.

Who are we writing about? If you haven’t guessed already, these are none other than Naresh Iyer, Stephen Devassy, and the band Noori. But why did we just highlight the already famous musicians in this article? Well, SpringSpree ’11 is proud to announce that this extremely versatile, extremely talented lot is coming down to blow NITW away with their heart pounding beats, mellifluous voices and sublime music.

SBC-TEAR IT UP

This spree, the best crews in the country descend to one of India’s largest cult fest to stomp the yard. This edition brings you B-Boying at its epitome, with crews like Freak N Style taking centre stage.

Lose yourself to the groove, as they light up the stage, and battle it out for a whooping cash prize.

In this art of war, your attitude is your weapon, your agility your ammo, and your creativity your trigger. Lock your joints, pop your feet, and freeze your way to glory.

With a versatile plethora of crews on show, the month of March promises to be a visual feast, as your eyes will pop along with their joints.

Open the gateways to a new conception, as the dance is redefined, rewritten and reborn.

DIRECTORS CUT

After watching a great movie, have you found yourself inspired to create one of your own? Do you look up to the great directors of our times and dream of joining their ranks as entertainment icons? You are not alone.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a beginner taking their first steps into the world of film direction, this year’s Spring Spree welcomes all to join DIRECTORS CUT, our own short film competition. Participating directors will be given a theme and the rest is up to them. Cast your actors, write the script and shoot! And If its incentive you need, there are plenty of cash prizes to be won but like any great director would say, it’s not about the money.. Is it?

So get your cameras out, study the films of your favorite directors, and get ready to create! India’s very own Cannes begins soon!

THE AMAZING RACE

'The Amazing Race', an exhilarating joyriding epidemic ,is a race inspired by the critically acclaimed show which involves a two-person teams unpredictably traversing a territory defined by the creators following mind-boggling clues and performing various localized challenges that are nerve-rattling and ludicrous, to win the bonanza cash prize!
It’s one truly amazing race, involving be it either teams of insanely experienced travel-lovers or the naiveté, pitted against each other to see who comes out on top eventually, in an engulfing plot of clues that lead you through the complexity of the challenges and destinations visited, they elevate to an entirely new level with each passing round.
Contestants travel about in any available mode of transport like in autos, cycles, bikes, cabs, buses, following the clues to the next destination. Some clues direct them to perform crazy tasks, either by a single member or together. The tasks test your skill, ability and courage combined in your best speed.
The race presents unscripted dramatic and humorous situations that one just can’t miss! 

HAUNTED HOUSE

Hot spring night, a warm gust of wind swoops down your back. A lone owl peers down below. The hard asphalt’s echoes guide your labored footsteps down the road. Shrill screams arrest your mind… only for a moment. The explosion of a million thoughts, deafen you, screaming, begging to act NOW. But they all boil down to two things, FLIGHT or FIGHT. Your sweat, more effective than the most chilling rains, torrential, like thousands of needles prickling your spine. Your blood pounds, fear poisoning every artery and vein. Watch your friends wince, shriek, scream, step by step as they inch through this hair raising, thrilling encounter. You’ll be petrified- rendered incapable of blinking.

NITMUN - Suit Up

In the corridors of power, the suits are conservative, but ideas radical.

Welcome to the world of high stakes diplomacy, where the wits and words can build bridges of trust, and a lack thereof can burn them.

In this NITW's simulation of the world’s most powerful diplomatic organization, delegations from all over the globe will engage in the most prolific war of words, and psychological games to converge on a common resolution to try and save a planet on the verge of a climatic disaster, on a brink of energy crisis and prone to an eco-political collapse.

Can the delegations compromise to achieve the peaceful solutions, or will flags be turned upside down in declarations of war.

Suit Up, gather you wits, and bring your poker face.

“Delegates, we are now in session……and remember….it’s nothing personal.”

SPOTLIGHT EVENTS

Neck breaking, head banging, lunges, meetings with world leaders, fashionists and loads of other sights is what this year’s SPRINGSPREE has to offer.

To give you a better idea about what we’re saying, let us elaborate on the spotlight events:

                TEAR IT UP:

This is our annual B-Boying competition. A platform for colleges throughout the country to showcase their talent in the hopes to exhilarate you.

                ALLURE:

The event to catch ,if you want to see all the sensual models of the region displaying their very own original designs.

                IRA:

A duel between the best college rock bands in the country. Promises? Unique and original compositions with beats that will make you swing and swoon. We bet that your necks will hurt the next day due to all of the head banging.

                NITMUN:

NITW’s very own version of Model United Nations. This is a forum where you can put forward your stand on various global concerns related to the nation represented by you. 

                MINUTE MADE:

Last but not the least and definitely one of the best events we have to offer. Minute Made is the Renaissance Edition’s new addition to the Spree. This is where you get the chance to exhibit any of your talents within a single minute. Modeled on the popular television show “60 Seconds to Fame”, This event will surely blow your minds off.
